The R-16 Korea 2012, an international b-boy championship, will take place on July 7th and 8th at Olympic Hall located in Olympic Park, Seoul.
Marking its 6th anniversary this year, the annual “R-16 Korea: World B-boy Masters Championship” is one of the top five b-boy competitions in the world. The two-day event brings together world-class b-boys selected through regional preliminaries held over the period of four months in about 20 different countries.
The championship will kick off with solo battles featuring Popping and Locking on the first day. Team tournaments the next day will determine the world’s best b-boy team through events like performance battle and crew battle.
Other special events will include congratulatory performances by Ulala Session on the 8th, and appearances by other noted Korean hip-hop artists. Promotional booths for the F1 2012 Korean Grand Prix and the Ultra Music Festival (UMF) will distribute invitation tickets to each event through on-site lotteries. Other programs include a graffiti competition featuring graffiti artists from around the world, and a street market selling hip-hop items such as clothes, accessories, and music albums.
Ticket can be purchased online at Interpark for prices varying from 10,000 to 50,000 won, depending on seat location.
