The 2012 K-Pop Star Entertain-Art Show, the first art exhibition in Korea inspired by K-pop, is scheduled to run from June 23rd through August 19th at KINTEX in Gyeonggi-do Gongyang-si.
The exhibition is divided into three different zones: Star Zone, Theme Zone, and Special Zone. Star Zone, in particular, showcases over 110 paintings featuring 19 K-pop groups, including TVWQ, Super Junior, f(x), Wonder Girls, 2PM, KARA, CNBlue, Beast, Baek Ji-young, and Yoon Do-hyun.
Moreover, all paintings in the exhibition have been done using the trompe-l’oeil (French for “deceiving the eye”) technique, creating the optical illusion that the K-pop stars in the paintings exist in 3D.
Admission costs 12,000 won for adults and youths, and 10,000 won for children. Tickets can be purchased online or on site.
