[Korea] Sinchon Tourist Information Center Opens

The Sinchon Tourist Information Center opened in the former Sinchon Train Station on June 11.

The Sinchon Tourist Information Center is located in a popular university district that is filled with shops and restaurants. The center displays photos of Sinchon and the Seodaemun-gu district from the past and present. Facilities include a lounge and access to guide books and maps covering nearby tourist attractions. Visitors can receive information on dining, shopping, and other attractions in the neighborhood by using touch screen information kiosks in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.

The center is located in the former Sinchon Train Station, the oldest train station building in Seoul. In operation from 1920 to 2006, the station has been preserved as a Registered Cultural Heritage. Behind the old train station are a shopping mall and the new Sinchon Train Station.
