The 2012 Trout Festival will kick off on Dec 22nd in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympics. During the festival, you can enjoy events including ice fishing, catching trout with your bare hands, riding in a snow sleigh, kart racing, and playing winter folk games. Fishing tackle is available for purchase, and there are cooking stations available to prepare any fish you catch.
You may also explore many other splendors of the region such as mountainous Jinbu-myeon Township in Pyeongchang. The venue of the festival is close to other famous tourist attractions such as Yongpyong Resort Ski & Snowboard, Phoenix Park, Odaesan National Park, Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm, and Jumunjin and Jeongseon, two places known for their beautiful sunrises.

All-in-One ticket – 30,000 won per person (windbreaker tent and chair rental; fishing tackle charge excluded)
Fishing-only ticket – 20,000 won (available for 2 persons or more/ windbreaker tent and chair rental; fishing tackle charge excluded)
Ticket for Catching Trout with Bare Hands – 15,000 won, fishing tackle – 3,000~15,000won.
