Gyeongsangnam-do Province is well known throughout Korea for its beautiful natural resources, including many coastal areas, national parks and protected areas. The province is also home to a number of thousand-year-old temples and historic relics. In 2008, Gyeongsangnam-do will serve as the venue for the 10th Ramsar Convention, which seeks to promote the preservation and wise use of the world’s wetlands. Through this convention and the province’s expansive resources, Gyeongsangnam-do aims to become a new hub of ecological tours. Based on Gyeongsangnam-do's superior industrial infrastructure, incentive tours to global companies are highlighted by exhibition organizers and convention organizers, especially companies related to the automotive, machinery, aerospace, and shipbuilding industries. |
