Easy camping with no equipment The biggest deterrent to most people wanting to camp is preparing all the necessary equipment in advance. Not only is there a lot to pack, it’s expensive to buy. Thankfully, you can enjoy camping with ease at the campground in Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri! From the tent to sleeping bags, a camp stove and cooking utensils, the campground has got you covered! If setting up a tent seems too complicated, you can also rent a caravan! The caravans have the added benefit of running water for the sink and bathroom, as well as an air conditioner so you can relax in total bliss. For meals, you can cook on the electric stove inside, or use one of the barbecue grills in the cooking tent.

Backpacking in nature Backpacking, carrying all the supplies you need for camping, is the way to go if you really want to escape into nature. Korean backpackers highly recommend visiting Gureopdo Island, only accessible by ferry. The best place to camp is at the peak of Gaemeori Hill. The unobstructed view of the heavens and the sea makes up for the hard 50-minute hike up!
