  • Information
Located in Jongno-gu, Kimchi World is a place where visitors can learn about Korea’s staple food. The place went through renovations and reopened in March 2014. International visitors can make and try kimchi or other relatively simple Korean dishes by participating in Kimchi World's programs. The programs are specially-designed for foreign tourists so bossam-kimchi is the most common type of kimchi made during these activiites because it has less spices.

Participants can try making kimchi themselves and learn about the history and health benefits of kimchi. Other than kimchi, products such as red chili sauce, dried seaweed, salted seafood, pickled vegetables, and rice wine are also available for purchase.
