Kweather, Korea’s first weather forecast provider, has announced that this year’s first fall foliage is expected to be sighted at Soeraksan National Park (NaeSeorak) starting on September 27. Following Seoraksan Mountain, Odaesan National Park is expected to have its first fall foliage a day later than last year on October 2, with other central regions changing colors from early October to mid-October.

Fall foliage usually hits its peak two weeks after its first appearance. This year’s earliest peak foliage season is expected to take place around October 17 at Odaesan Mountain, followed by Seoraksan Mountain on October 18. The peak foliage is forecasted to reach the southern parts of Korea around end of October to early November.
