Kweather, Korea’s first weather forecast provider, has announced that this year’s first fall foliage is expected to be sighted at Seoraksan National Park (NaeSeorak) starting from September 27.
Following Seoraksan Mountain, Odaesan National Park is expected to have its first fall foliage on October 1, with other central regions changing colors from October 7 to October 19. Southern regions, including Jirisan National Park (Nogodan Park), are expected to start their first fall foliage from October 11 to October 23.
Fall foliage usually reaches its peak two weeks after its first appearance. This year’s peak foliage season is expected to take place around October 17, starting from Odaesan Mountain, and continue until November 8, decorating Naejangsan National Park with vibrant autumn colors.
