Swimming pools and water play zones at Hangang Parks have opened throughout the city of Seoul. The swimming pools at Gwangnaru, Mangwon, Ttukseom, and Jamsil Hangang Parks, along with the water play zone at Nanji open from June 23. The outdoor pools at Yeouido and Jamwon and the water park at Yanghwa are planned to open in early July. All pools and water parks will remain open until August 27.
Outdoor swimming pools at Hangang Parks are a great way to enjoy the summer, swimming beside the river. The pools are also divided into adult, youth, and child pools for maximum enjoyment. These urban oases come complete with plenty of amenities, including shower rooms, snack bars, and water slides. The various parks will also be hosting events and performances throughout the season. Visit for a chance to win prizes, try out a survival game, or learn about safety through an experience program.
This year, a special, free shuttle bus is operating in 30 minute intervals to Gwangnaru and Jamsil swimming pools, as public parking is limited, and the pools are difficult to reach by public transit. The bus for Gwangnaru departs from Cheonho Station (Seoul Subway Line 5), exit 1. The bus for Jamsil swimming pool departs from Jamsil Station (Seoul Subway Line 2), exit 5.
