Starting from this year, a total of eight national museums and one national art museum will be operating without regular closed dates.
The list of museums includes The National Museum of Korea, National Folk Museum of Korea, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul [MMCA Seoul], National Palace Museum of Korea, National Hangeul Museum, and National Museum of Korean Contemporary History in Seoul, as well as Gyeongju National Museum, Gwangju National Museum and Jeonju National Museum.
The museums will only be closed on January 1, and the day of Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), except for National Folk Museum of Korea (January 1 only) and National Palace Museum of Korea (open all year round).
