On February 4, 2016, the Incheon Airport Korea Traditional Culture Center was reopened. Both travelers passing through Incheon Airport and foreigners living in Korea can try hands-on experiences in traditional Korean culture at various locations inside the airport. The center has served over 500,000 visitors each year since its grand opening in 2004.
The center operates two experience centers and one permanent traditional music stage. Activities at the experience centers include traditional crafts using hanji (Korean paper), danjeong (multicolored painting on a wooden frame), minhwa (folk painting) and more. Visitors can also choose from a multitude of traditional clothing to try on and take souvenir photos.
Tourists can also listen to both traditional music and fusion pieces six times throughout each day through the traditional music performance.
