[Korea] MBC’s ‘Dad! Where Are You Going?’ is inviting foreign families for a special episode

“Dad! Where Are You Going?” is a popular Sunday evening TV show on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). The show is currently inviting foreign families to be part of their special summer episode which will involve a Korean home-stay experience.

Basic knowledge of Korean language, food, or other aspects of Korean culture is preferred. Selected families will join the six Korean celebrity dads and their children as they travel around Korea and complete missions.

Foreign families will be able to experience living in Korean household as they will be staying at the homes of the Korean cast members. The families can choose between the two filming schedules: August 23-24 or August 30-31, 2014. Further details will be sent to the families after the evaluation process.

The episode is scheduled to air during the Chuseok holidays (early September).

* Eligibility: Dad and child (5-8 years old) foreign nationality holders
* Filming dates: 1 night 2 days on Aug 23-24 (Sat-Sun) or Aug 30-31 (Sat-Sun), 2014 /
    Schedule is subject to change.
* Deadline for applications: August 20 (Wed), 2014
* Requirements: Send pictures or video clips in Korean or English including a brief introduction
    (name, nationality, age, gender, interests, etc.)

Where Are You Going?” has gained a lot of attention from domestic and overseas viewers for its family-friendly content. These dads get a better understanding of their children and what it takes to be a dad. This unscripted show captures candid moments of the kids having fun and shows viewers another side of celebrities that has never been seen before.
