[Korea] Mario Maurer promotes “To:ur Imagination” campaign in Korea

Mario Maurer, a top actor in Thailand, arrived in Korea on April 22 for a four-day visit. During his stay, he tried popular Korean dishes, and explored some of the top fashion and shopping districts frequented by young Koreans. His visit drew attention from other fans of Hallyu (Korean wave) in countries around Asia, raising hopes that it would have a positive effect on the promotion of Korean culture and inspire travelers to choose Korea as a travel destination.

Maurer’s visit was part of an endorsement campaign run by Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) called “To:ur Imagination.” The campaign aims to encourage international travelers to imagine taking a trip to Korea, and offers the opportunity for some lucky participants to win a free trip to Korea and experience all that the country has to offer. KTO plans to begin inviting participants from around the world to be part of the campaign starting in June.

Joining Mario Maurer on the tour are top Chinese actress Xin Jiang, the winner of the 2013 America’s Got Talent Ebina Kenichi, and American makeup artist Michelle Phan. KTO hopes that the campaign’s celebrity ambassadors will help introduce Korean culture to people around the world.
