The Gimhae National Museum will be holding the Seollal Traditional & Cultural Event of Gimhae National Museum from January 30 to February 2, 2014 in celebration of Korea’s national holiday—Seollal.
During the event, visitors can learn how to make a bokjori (a dipper-shaped bamboo strainer believed to ‘capture’ good luck) or play a game of yutnori (a traditional board game using wooden sticks) to have their fortune told. Although the event is free of charge, the activities may have a different schedule per day and participants will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Since the event will take place at the Gimhae National Museum, visitors can also take this opportunity to explore the museum and learn about Gimhae’s cultural heritage.
