[Korea] Yangju Snow Festival 2014 to begin Jan 17

Adding more fun and romance to the winter season, Yangju Snow Festival 2014 will be taking place at the Yangju Art Valley area in Gyeonggi-do from January 17 to 26, 2014.

Along the one-kilometer walking path, there will be an exhibition area with about 1,000 pieces of snow sculptures on display, a sledding slope, an ice fishing ground, and an area for folk games. There are also free activities for kids such as the robot theater and the jangseung (Korean totem pole) experience center. At the igloo café, visitors can enjoy some snacks and warm beverages.

Admission to the festival is 8,000 won. Tickets for the sledding slope are 10,000 won and are sold separately.
