[Korea] 8th Ganghwa Icefish Festival starts Dec 28th

One of the many fun winter activities to take part in is ice fishing.

Ganghwa Icefish Festival 2014 will take place from Dec 28, 2013 to Feb 23, 2014 at Ganghwa Hwangcheong Fishing Site in Incheon-si.

Marking its 8th anniversary, the Ganghwa Icefish Festival is where people can enjoy ice fishing surrounded by the majestic Hwangchang Lake scenery. The festival is getting more and more popular every year and offers a wide range of activities such as ice fishing and bare handed fishing for bingeo (pond smelt), ice sledding, ice carriage rides and ice slides.

Admission to the festival is KRW 5,000. Fishing rods can be purchased separately for KRW 4,000.
