▲Mindungsan Mountain covered with eulalia grass
The Mindungsan Eulalia Festival 2013 is currently taking place on Mindungsan Mountain in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do.
Mindungsan Mountain is known for its silver reeds that cover 660,000 square meters of the mountain and are best viewed from the top. Visiting the mountain between mid-October and late October is the best time to see eulalia at their peak. Now in its 18th year of holding the annual eulalia festival, Mindungsan will once again be hosting a wide variety of festivities such as rock climbing on weekends, mini concerts, a eulalia photo exhibit, postcard mailing and more.
Autumn may be the season for red, yellow and orange leaves. But how about a mountain covered with silver reeds for a change? The festival is free for all to enjoy and will run until November 3.
