The Jeonju International Sori Festival 2013 will be held at the Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do and Jeonju Hanok Village in Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do from October 2 to 6, 2013.
The festival is a global music festival with a particular focus on a genre of traditional Korean music called pansori (Epic Chant). With 3,000 artists from 36 countries participating, this year’s festival will be showcasing a combination of country-specific traditional music and pop songs. In addition to the music performances, visitors can also expect to see other performances with pansori (Epic Chant) or take part in some hands-on programs such as making international folk crafts and sampling international street food.
Both free and ticketed performances are available. Ticket prices range from 10,000 to 50,000 won.
