Last summer PSY’s “Gangnam Style” became a worldwide overnight sensation, and as a result the number of local and international visitors to the Gangnam area increased dramatically during the last year. Due to this, the Gangnam Tourist Information Center was opened in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on June 26, 2013.

The Gangnam TIC is a 820㎡, two story building, and provides various kinds of tourism services to local and international visitors dropping by the Gangnam area. The building has three sections, an All-in-one Tourist Information Center, which offers information about tourist attractions, transportation, and accommodations in the Gangnam area, the Hallyu Hall, which is full of Hallyu related content for visitors, and the Medical Tourism Center, which gives visitors more information on Korea’s high-tech medical tourism industry.

The newly-opened Gangnam TIC is expected to help introduce tourists to Gangnam as well as provide top-quality general tourism services for visitors.
