The International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea 2013 has already been visited by over 100,000 visitors in a span of 3 days (April 20-22) since it kicked off last Saturday.
The expo is one of Korea’s biggest tourism projects of the year and has drawn much attention even before it started. The 1.11 million square meter venue was set up at the world class Sucheonman Bay Ecological Wetland, and at Suncheon City’s Pungdeok-dong and Ocheon-dong areas. The expo is the largest of its kind in Korea and visitors will be able to check out 82 gardens from 23 countries. There is also an abundance of cultural events throughout the venue, and the mime, dance, and gugak (traditional music) performances, together with the parade, zoo and galleries are among the most popular ones.
The expo is visited by long lines of visitors every day.
