On April 17, 2013, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) launched the “Seoul Walking Tour” app, an audio and location-based tour guide available for Apple and Android products.
The “Seoul Walking Tour” app provides both audio and text information for 16 tourist attractions around Seoul including Gwanghwamun Square, Insadong, and Jogyesa Temple. The voice guide is available in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese. The application uses GPS (Global Positioning System) to easily guide visitors through the 16 closely located tourist attractions in the downtown Seoul.
To help promote the application, prizes including an iPad mini will be given away to selected participants. In order to participate in the event, you must first install the app and then take a screenshot of your mobile device showing the downloaded “Seoul Walking Tour” app. The contest is only for people who reside in Korea and participants must send their screenshot, name and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners will be notified individually on May 22.
