The 2013 Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) will take place in Wansan-gu and Deokjin-gu in Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do Province from April 25 to May 3.
Marking its 14th year, 178 movies (117 long films, 61 short films) from 46 countries will be separated into eight different categories and screened during the nine-day festival period. Anticipation is high for the festival’s opening film “Foxfire,” directed by Laurent Cantet, who also directed “The Class” and was awarded Palme d'Or at 2008 Cannes for the movie. Other films that will screen during the festival have also been attracting attention due to their rising popularity.
