[Korea] The 20th Taebaeksan Mountains Snow Festival Kicks off on January 25th

The Taebaeksan Mountains Snow Festival, one of Korea’s major winter festivals, will be held from January 25th through February 3rd at the area around the Taebaeksan Provincial Park and Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do.

Marking its 20th anniversary this year, the festival will feature various programs under the theme of ‘Snow, Love, and Joy’. The festival will host a variety of activities and venues including the main attraction, a snow sculpture exhibition showcasing 58 giant snow sculptures, as well as ice and snow experience programs like the igloo café, ice sliding, snow sledding and dog sledding. Performances will take place during the festival as well.

Admission to the festival is 2,000won for adults, 1,500won for teenagers, and 700won for children. Separate fees may apply for participating in some of the experience programs.
