The annual Busan Jagalchi Festival, a landmark autumn celebration of Busan, will take place from October 11th to 14th at Jagalchi Market.
Marking its 21st, the Busan Jagalchi Festival is one of the largest seafood festivals in Korea. The Jagalchi Fish Market originates from the voluntary association created in October 1946 by local seafood merchants in Namhang Port.
This year, the festival will present a wide array of programs, including Yongsinje Festival (a shamanism ritual of praying to the Dragon King of the Sea for good harvest) on its eve (October 10th), and Gilnori Parade (a street performance featuring mask dances and Korea traditional music), Surprise Seafood Auction, World Seafood Fusion Cuisine cooking demonstration, and World’s Largest Raw Fish Bibimbap making for its duration.
