In celebration of Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), the Tourist Information Center (TIC) on the basement level of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Headquarters will be holding special holiday activities on September 27th through October 4th. Visitors may stop by the TIC any time without prior reservations to play folk games or try on hanbok (traditional clothes) for free. Moreover, the holiday activities will be held with the assistance of staff members who speak English, Japanese and Chinese.
Meanwhile, the TIC offers other exciting programs and facilities. In addition to the information desk that provides up-to-date travel tips and news, the TIC has a Hallyu (Korean wave) experience zone, hansik (Korean cuisine) experience center, medical tourism information center, video room, tourism technology library, and space reserved for an exhibition and sales of regional specialty products.
Furthermore, the TIC regularly holds such cultural activities as arts and crafts workshops, hanbok experience programs, and Korean name giving programs. Following the Chuseok Holiday event, the next cultural activities will be held on October 15-20, November 12-17, and December 10-15 of 2012.
