Introduction

Changsil House is located in Soseul Village, which has beautiful red clay roads. A hundred years ago, this 27-kan* hanok was inhabited by the brother of Sim Ho-taek, the 7th generation descendant of the wealthy Sim Family of Cheongsong.

The hanok has the typical architectural style of upper-class homes from the Joseon Dynasty, featuring buildings laid out in a square around an inner courtyard. The guest room and the wooden-floored hall are fitted with doors that can be fixed upwards so that the hall becomes a large open space. Guests can enjoy tea ceremonies in the wooden-floored halls located in the inner and men's quarters. They can also experience various traditional cultural programs such as painting, folded fan painting, and gardening.

From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an intercity bus to Cheongsong.
* Bus schedule: 6:30, 8:40, 10:20, 12:00, 15:10, 16:40
From the Cheongsong Intercity Bus Terminal, take a local bus to Pacheon Elementary School.
Go 900m until you see the sign for Songso Gotaek.
Cross the bridge, and turn left.
Go 600m forward, and turn right.
Follow the street to arrive at Changsil House.
