|Changsil House is located in Soseul Village, which has beautiful red clay roads. A hundred years ago, this 27-kan* hanok was inhabited by the brother of Sim Ho-taek, the 7th generation descendant of the wealthy Sim Family of Cheongsong.
The hanok has the typical architectural style of upper-class homes from the Joseon Dynasty, featuring buildings laid out in a square around an inner courtyard. The guest room and the wooden-floored hall are fitted with doors that can be fixed upwards so that the hall becomes a large open space. Guests can enjoy tea ceremonies in the wooden-floored halls located in the inner and men's quarters. They can also experience various traditional cultural programs such as painting, folded fan painting, and gardening.
(*Kan: a traditional measurement that corresponds to the space between two columns)
